FAIR OAKS, CA - Westbound Madison Avenue from Fair Oaks Boulevard to Sunrise Boulevard was closed part of Thursday afternoon due to a major injury crash.

The California Highway Patrol says a car slammed into a tree just after 1 p.m.

Emergency responders said the driver of the red Acura Integra, a man in his 20s, was in critical condition.
