Vandals bust windows, damage Citrus Heights schools | Crime

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA - Citrus Heights police say they have leads as to who vandalized four local schools sometime since the weekend.
According to Lt. Gary Hendricks, the most damage was at Sylvan Corners Middle School where 10 classroom windows were broken, several classrooms vandalized and school property damaged. Police were called to investigate at 7:13 Monday morning.
About an hour later, school officials at Citrus Heights Elementary called police to report one classroom window had been broken.
A third school, Carriage Elementary, had two broken classroom windows, two ransacked classrooms and one damaged computer, Hendricks said. That was called into police at 6:22 a.m.
Sunday night, Hendricks said a citizen reported seeing a large hole in a window at Mesa Verde High School. Responding officers found no one had entered the school. That was at 10:42 p.m., Hendricks said.
