2 arrested, weapons, drugs seized in Sutter County raid | Crime

SUTTER COUNTY, Calif. - Two people were arrested, several weapons were seized and an undisclosed amount of pot was confiscated during a warrant execution in the Pleasant Grove area Wednesday morning.

According to a Sutter County sheriff's lieutenant on scene, deputies and special enforcement detail were dispatched to a home on Fifield Road where a man sought in connection with a weapons charge was believed to be located.

The man was not found at the home, but a woman was detained at the scene, said the lieutenant.

Deputies later located the man at another location where he was taken into custody.

During the raid, several weapons and an undisclosed amount of marijuana were located. The weapons were deemed illegal due to the sought individual's status as a convicted felon. It was not clear at the time of the raid whether the marijuana was being grown legally, the lieutenant said.
